Good but could be better
This item probably deserves a 4-star but I wanted the makers to sit up and listen. I had a hihat tambourine previously and like a blockhead I got rid of it hence the need for a new one. This version is definitely well made, sturdy, etc, but the chimes on it are somehow too....restricted is the best way I can put it. They don't "jingle" freely enough for me, they lack sustain somehow. I tried loosening the pegs to see if letting them wobble around a little would help, and it might have, but not enough. It would help if they worked out a way to keep the little chimes separated from each other a little, I dunno how that could work but it would help. A litte washer or something maybe. Anyway, it works but with a little design tweek it could be stellar. I hope this gets back to them. Thanks.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
