Easier to use than you'd think
One would expect a hunky male to use this easily...but a neighbor - a 70 year old woman - found it easy to use also. This is a Fiskars' Tiller - so I expected it to be of a better quality and wasn't disappointed. For small areas, this is a great tool to have.

I have examined hand tillers in home improvement stores and garden centers and this Fiskars is of better quality construction than those other brands. I like the fact that it has that spot in the center where you can step it into the ground; those other brands don't have that. It works great for doing "small" areas; anything of any significant size and you would be better off using a rototiller. It meets my specific needs.

Great in loamy or sandy soil
I'm 76 and weigh 100 lbs. I can use this in my small garden. Our soil is sandy so it is perfect for breaking the ground up. I Love it.

Works OK
I have very heavy clay soil. This tool has a hard time breaking it up and the soil tends to get stuck in the tines. Would probably work better with finer soil. It is quite a workout with heavy soil.
