This rig will be a fun build, it will have many modifications when done
I am currently working on building another Tamiya 1/14 scale truck tractor, the Grand Hauler, I will be building this truck for my wife. These trucks are fun to build and from other Tamiya RC vehicles I have built they hold up well. These are more for the SCALE enthusiast, you can make them go fast but that is not the goal. The goal is to build a scale truck that operates well and has many attributes that make it look like somebody just shrunk a true truck down in size. I buy all steel gears for the transmissions, though I hear that the nylon gear that come in the kit are very durable if properly lubricated with a nylon friendly gear lube. I am using a lube that is very viscous and adheres to the gears well, I ordered steel gears for the drive axles and by the time I build the Grand hauler and this rig I will have 2 tricked out SCALE correct RC rigs. They will both have lots of lights and other dress up after market parts, though even building them as is in the box give you a real nice scale RC truck!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

As with every Tamiya kit I have ever done since my first in 1985 it was super fun to build. Everything fits right and looks great. This was my first semi and won't be my last.
