Good value, 8rd SS Kimber magazines, performed excellent
Took them to the range. Both operated 8 rd SS mags flawlessly. They are the bottom spot welded type, but my two Kimber magazines that came with the weapon, 7 rd, are made the same way. Had those for ten years, no problem, and my range day leads me to expect the same from these two magazines. good price for practice magazines but not for concealed carry or duty use.
The second to the last round would almost always fail to load properly. The first rounds would load without issue but when the magazine got down to the last two rounds the next to the last round fails to load. The round doesn't make it into the chamber and the slide stays partways back. I am able to sometimes push the slide forward using hand pressure but this isn't ideal for a field condition. This was happening with full metal jacket ball ammo not hollowpoints. The factory Kimber magazine did not have any issue loading.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Look Great but insert poorly
Was a very good price, looks great but it doesn't want to slide into my Kimber Custom II very well at all. Actually, to get them to fully insert, I had to press the mag release button until they seated. They look great though LOL! Good but NOT the top of the line Kimber Mag,
all Mags fit well, released and looked to be of good quality. I got these for a Springfield 1911. I have not shot them yet. the only down side is that the bottom plate of the Mag is spot welded and is NOT removable so you can not take them apart to clean and oil. Mags for the trash can.
I bought 3 of these kimber mags. One of them stove pipes every time I tried to use it. The other 2 failed to lock the slide open after the last shot. I bought 3 of the kimber pro mags at cabela's at about the same time and all 3 functioned perfectly however the pro mags were more expensive. I wondered why it was so cheap. It's just a McCormick Shooting Star brand mag with the name Kimber etched in...not made by Kimber at all. I'll just spend the extra money to get a Colt next time. I've tried McCormick Shooting Star and found them to be unreliable. Followers are poorly designed and allow rounds to nosedive and not feed half the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
