My experience w/ Evans
I generally do not write reviews but felt we should share our experience w/ Evans coolant. The product works as stated, you can’t boil over your vehicle. However, if your vehicle ran 180F with 50/50 antifreeze it will likely run 190F w/ Evans. Evans coolant (Polypropene glycol) is a solvent. Beware!! If you have head studs or anything threaded into a water jacket and you never had leaks before. Beware, it may affect the sealant!!! If you have chrome plated plastic and Evans gets on it, there goes the chrome. 50/50 antifreeze never affected the chrome on my car. If Evans gets on polished aluminum, don’t let it dry or it etches the aluminum and is very difficult to polish out. Believe me I have polished my wheels many times before going to a show. Never has anything been so hard to get off. If Evans gets on polished stainless steel, don’t let it dry or it etches the stainless steel and is very difficult to polish out. Believe me I have polished many parts of my car many times before going to a show. Never has anything been so hard to get off. After draining the system and it being down for several days we noticed all the wetted aluminum parts have a white substance on them. Several places had what look like barnacles. This does wipe off but were does it go in the system??? Overall I will continue to use it as I have made a huge investment. Part of the reason I bought Evans was because I have lots of vintage aluminum speed equipment that coolant passes through and I wanted to stop the corrosion. In the end we could have gained the same benefit by welding in couplings and installing anodes. Never again!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Coolant keeps car temp consistent

Better than Water Antifreeze Mixture.
Follow the instructions and go to the Evans website before starting the conversion. You will need the prep fluid to help completely dry out the cooling system. It is an excellent product that works really well. I have converted to E46 3 series BMW's. This coolant does expand when heated so fill the cooling system to the same level as normal water mix coolant. Since it boils at 375*F the radiator cap can be removed when hot and it will not boil over. This also means that plastic overflow tanks etc. should last much longer since they are not under pressure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
