Linksys 8-port gigabit switch is reliable and well built.
I had connectivity issues with an Ethernet switch in my home network. After testing all the Ethernet cables throughout the house with my Ethernet cable tester, all of which tested OK. Then, I directly connected a computer via Ethernet to each of my router's Ethernet ports showing that all those ports were working properly. That left the Ethernet switches. When I found this switch I couldn't believe they were making the case out of mostly metal so many today, are made out of plastic, either for business or home.
