Delightful, funny & imaginative
Sometimes I think that kids have the best deal when it comes to books, because there are so many great classics available. THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH may not be in quite the same league as THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS or ALICE IN WONDERLAND, but that doesn't mean it isn't rife with interesting and quirky characters, all based on numbers and words. It's endlessly clever, good-natured and humorous.
