Good Power/Traffic Antenna Cable For Most Garmin Auto GPS Units
If your Garmin GPS has a built-in traffic receiver, this will provide you with traffic alerts. It does not have a built-in traffic receiver, so you must have one in your GPS for it to work. It works with my Nuvi units as well as my DriveSmart 65LMT with Alexa. But it will not perform all the Alexa functions that the power cable unit that comes with the original GPS so keep this in mind. I believe the most useful advantage of the original power cable is the built in Wi-Fi, wich allows you to do updates much faster than via a cable. Also, you can damage any other Garmin GPS if you use this unique cable unit with any other Garmin GPS. This is a great back-up cable if your original DriveSmart 65 cable is lost or broken until you can purchase another one. It will do most functions w/o the original cable so you can still use the GPS as needed. Again, it also works for a replacement of other Gamin units like the Nuvi ones. If they have their own built in traffic receiver, as mine do, then you will receive all the traffic alerts as normal with this cable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Garmin power cord
In the picture it had the connector at 90 degrees and a straight cord. The one that arrived was a spiral cord with a straight plug. It works but keeps pulling on the unit and doesn't reach far which makes it fall often. It was a very good price. It works with a Garmin 1390T, and it is compatible, but as with any Garmin GPS that has Traffic functions, you need the proper cable that allows that to work. Typically, the proper cable looks like this one but with a rectangular portion built into it for the Traffic function. This which this one doesn't have that so you don't get the Traffic function. Thick cable. Doesn't do traffic as specified
Cable works great for power. Listing states it is a traffic cable as well but it isn't. I tried the traffic mode and it didn't work at all. It does, however, power my Garmin without any errors.
