Don't throw that old Garmin away!
I didn't even know you could buy a replacement battery for your GPS. Do you have any idea how long I have been plugging mine in because I didn't want to buy a new one! LOL Out of curiosity I went to troubleshootting my "Dead" Garmin and was I pleasantly surprised....the darn thing just needed a new battery!!! All I bought was the battery, not the kit. I used a small screwdriver to pry off the faceplate and would you believe it...YouTube showed me exactly how to remove the old battery and install the new one. I am so not handy with tools....actually had to do this when my husband was gone!!!!.....but I got it done by myself and it was easy!! I just started with the attitude what have I got to loose it doesn't work anyway and ended up with woohoo I got my GPS back!!! Perfect replacement battery
Easy to install and restored life to my old GPS. Initial charge was good (about 2.5 hours), but this increased to about 3.5 hours on the third or forth cycling (charge/discharge cycle). came on time, and I think it works as it should. I couldn't find how many hours I should be able to operate on the battery. Before battery replacement, I would get about 20 to 30 minutes. Now I get about 90 minutes +/-. I really never ran on battery before so I don't know how long it should be able to power the unit. from most of the online reviews, it would appear somewhere near 2 hours would be normal. I think Garmin claimed 4 to 5 hours with almost everything turned off or down. I was using it in bicycle mode with everything on and it was showing low battery in about 1.5 hours. So for lack of more information on how long it should operate on battery, I will give it the benefit of doubt and rate it at 5 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

good battery to save an expensive Garmin
This battery came with most of the charge already on it. There is a pretty good YouTube video on changing it. The original battery is glued in, so be prepared to use some force to carefully pry it out. This battery charged up quickly and has held a charge well.
