Glad I bought it!
After finishing a generous sample that I was given when visiting a Dyptique boutique about 10 years ago, I finally purchased a full bottle of Tam Dao EdP. I’m not sure if this got reformulated since my sample, but the juice in this bottle smells slightly less smoky, so that the woody evergreen notes are a bit more forward with supporting smoke/incense. Also, the musk has been toned down. There is also more progression during the dry down...I found the sample to be a bit one-dimensional from start to finish during each wearing. This juice is more versatile and easier to wear.

Not the same as the sample I got from Diptyque
The sample I got from the Diptique Manufacturer was HEAVY cedar with very little sweetness. The sample is woody from beginning to end. The bottle I received is more floral and kind of powdery...leaning toward unpleasant.
