Singer man
great after shave. I have used Clubman products for years and did not know that they made BayRum. It is long lasting and a fragrance that smells like an old-time barbershop. I would not call it cologne, though, because although it does last longer than ordinary after shave products, it doesn't last longer than 4 or 5 hours. Different Than The Old
I've used Bay Rum off and on since the 1960s starting with when I first saw it in my grandparents house in Maine. Currently I still have a bottle I got from the Vermont Country Store some time ago, it came in a glass bottle. Apparently VCS doesn't sell the same anymore and instead they offer something different that may or may not be the same that I have. However what the have costs an unbelievable amount for only 4 ounces, it costs way more than I remember paying, and the bottle I have is a 12 ounce bottle. While this Clubman Bay Rum is reasonably priced, it simply is not the same as the old style Bay Rum I've come to know all my life. It is similar, having a Bay Rum smell to it, but it simply is not same as the Bay Rum I have and used from days gone by. It is probably worth what it costs but not anything like what I have left I got from the VCS. I will use the Bay Rum I have left like it is liquid gold. Apparently there must be a demand as well as a shortage for the way Bay Rum used to be made and sold. I cannot think of any other reason why I cannot find the same as I used to get or why what I do find the cost of it has gone through the ceiling.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Delightful, clean scenr
I've used Bay Rum for an aftershave for 60 years. It has a nice, gentle spice aroma that doesn't overpower the room the way musk aftershaves do. And, it seems to be a little lower in Alcohol content, so it doesn't quite burn as much as most other aftershaves. But, over the years, ordinary stores (Walmart, Drug stores, etc. have stopped carrying Bay Rum, and in recent years it's been impossible to find. Thanks to Ebay, these old pleasures are attainable through merchants (some very obscure) who have made it their business to carry products that you can't find in ordinary stores anymore. I stumbled across my old favorite Bay Rum on ebay, and ordered a bottle. 5 minutes after arrival, it was 1955 all over again. I love this old-fashioned aroma, and I find people near me asking me "what are you wearing?" The younger men have never heard of Bay Rum, they really like it. So do the women, who get tired of men you can smell across the room, wearing something overpowering. If you've never tried Bay Rum, you should. It's completely different from all modern aftershaves. And, it doesn't cost $40 or $50 a bottle like some of these upper end modern aftershaves do! Old Barber Shop smell to it.
If you want that smell that you remember from the Barber Shop days this is one of those. It smells good. It is cooling as well on the skin. Not expensive but I remember and like the smell. ULTRA PREMIUM BAY RUM!!!
This is by far the best and longest lasting bay rum aftershave I've ever tried. It brings back great memories of being a little kid at the barbershop. It has a nice fresh clean scent. Smell like a man!

There is a distinctive "island" fragrance that you will love---but I suggest using only a FEW drops because the scent is very strong. A little, in this case, goes a LONG way! Lovely aftershave!
