Why did I wait so long to buy this?
This quick disconnect is outstanding in build quality. It clicks to provide good confirmation that the buckle went all the way in. Interestingly enough, everyone states that the plastic snap button has to be removed from the helmet. I own a bell pit boss helmet. The straps are thin enough to be folded on half so I got lucky with not needing to destroy anything on my helmet. It wasn't difficult to figure out how to install this quickly. Read this before you buy one
I bought 2 for 2 helmets. You have to remove the snap that keeps your chin strap from flapping in the wind to install it. On one of my helmets, the aluminum buckle presses into my "adams apple" and is very uncomfortable. So I removed it, problem is, now there's no snap to keep the chin strap from whipping me. My other helmet placed the buckle over to the side and works great. The Echo brand quick release buckle does not require you to remove the snap from your chin strap to install it, so if you don't like it or it hits you adams apple, you can go back to the stock setup.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quick release for a full face helmet
The buckle seems very high quality and is easy to use. This is something that you can take off and use for every full face motorcycle helmet that you will ever own. Installation was okay but more detailed instructions would have been helpful. The price seems a little high for a standard metal buckle but I would prefer a high quality metal buckle that I know will stay attached over a plastic one that might break.

Not cheap, but worth the price
I just replaced both of my helmets. I put the echo quick release one one. The release works, but it's a little clumsy and would be difficult if you are wearing gloves. I just put the Rydewear on the other helmet. Other than my stabbing myself in the thumb, while taking the plastic snap off of the chin strap, it went on easily. It is solid and easy to use, even when wearing gloves. I am ordering another one to replace the echo on the other helmet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Helmet D-ring chin strap conversion
Loved this product. Easy install on my snowmobile helmet. D-rings on a snowmobile helmets are a joke. When it’s below zero, you need to clip and unclip fast and secure. This product is significantly more robust than the other D-ring chin strap quick disconnect conversions. I installed on two helmets, took only a few minutes to complete. I would recommend the manufacturer get a how to video up on YouTube for a novice. I added some small zip ties to mine ti secure the D-rings from flapping around. See picture.

Very high quality old school style
This design is far superior to the flat style available for less $. It installs super easy and operates with far less finger force or dexterity than required by the flat style. Beats the cheaper brand (Echo) hands down !!!
I had the other brand (Echo) on both my wife and my helmets. She sometimes had a hard time either getting in clicked in or removing it. Came across these from Ryde Wear and bought two. Just put them on both helmets ( instructions a little off, but read a couple of times ) with no problems. They work great with a quick on and off. Had to remove D rings from my helmet, but not planning on going back to them anyway. Pay the extra and get a better quality set up and nicer look. I will recommend to other friends. Excellent product. Looks good, feels good and easy to install. I just wish it was available in Europe so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping worth as much as the product, but can't blame it for that. Delivered quickly. This is the fourth one I have ordered, 3 for me, one for my girlfriend. Works very well, easy on and off. Would suggest cutting off the original D-rings, makes putting this on much easier and they will be in the way when you start using.
