Big Bad Pickup
This 70's pickup is awesome. There's a big sound to this. The stock pickup has nothing on this one. I wasn't expecting it to improve my teles sound significantly but it did. It just took it to a whole new level. There's more warmth and depth to this instead of just having twang to it. It's a perfect mixture of both worlds, you get the lows and the highs neatly balanced. Then when you mess around with the tones it really brings out it's sound. If you're looking for a different voice for your telecaster give this pickup a try. Perfect except for a slight modification.
Sounds great, not too thin nor fat. I used this to replace the stock ceramic one on a MIM Fender Tele FSR. The main issue is that the screws that came with this GM pickup are a wee bit fatter than the originals so I had to enlarge the holes on the bridge plate with a drill. Just a tiny scrape. And it took some effort to push this into the body cavity after installing on the plate. Probably best to install with the strings completely off.
