Bandai brings its flagship franchise back to the PlayStation 2 for this interstellar combat adventure. Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space offers five different modes of play, allowing fans to follow their favorite plotlines or invent new stories of their own. Two players can go head-to-head in the game's split-screen "Versus" mode. In all, there are over 70 Gundam units from which to choose, including mobile suits from the Gundam 0079 and Gundam 0083 runs, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed, and G Gundam, as well as new units designed specifically for this game.

Space Battles! In Space!
This is a neat entry in a series of video games usually relegated to action games with ground-base combat or musou-style combat. Having most of the fights being fought in space adds a nice twist on the Gundam video game format. You actually feel as if you're piloting the Gundam during combat. Being able to outmanuver your opponent and go in for the kill and take out enemy mobile suits all while using flashy attacks at your disposal is quite fun. I'd give this one a go if you missed it when it first released!
