Small Fine Mesh Strainer--Perfect size for two servings of pasta.
Who would have thought that you could flatten down a stainless steel strainer and ship it in an envelope? That's the way I received it. It took several minutes to reshape it and I was waiting for the wire to break from the top rim, but it didn't. So far, so good, and I am hoping that it is real stainless steel and doesn't rust over time. It has even held it's shape with no problem after several uses. It is the perfect size to strain two servings of pasta, or veggies, or hold some fruit. So I am happy with it. Small but usable
I could only recommend this if you are looking for a small strainer. It's the size of a soup bowl approx. 7" in diameter and 2 1/2" deep. I would only consider this a good value due to the very cheap price. The quality is low grade and not well made. I'm going to use it to rinse fresh cut herbs from my garden as I can't think of anything else to use it for due to it's size.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just so you know
I lived in China for a year. I own numerous Chinese stainless steel kitchen utensils. When 20% of the people in the world are Chinese, and the country is not especially rich, and the government influences many many things, it shows in household goods. China definitely avoids "disposable" items, hence the predominance of stainless steel. But, they also engineer items to be just enough. Heavier would, no doubt, constitute a waste of Chinese resources, through "over design". I find all of my Chinese kitchen utensils to be "light weight". The older ones have performed fine for long times, they have been durable. But, I always wish they felt a little more "heavy duty". I will continue to buy Chinese kitchen utensils, when I might need them. Even if one should fail someday, they are very inexpensive. Bad quality

Opened package to a Bended Strainer
I love these strainers and after using mine I found at an estate sale, I purchased one for my sister. She opened the box to the strainer bended to extreme measures.
