If you want to get rid of tomato skins, this is the tool for you! Just remember to roast them first if you want less water in your sauce.
Grape tomatoes have very tough skins and we felt we needed to skin them before putting into a tomato sauce. However, I failed to notice in different recipes that they should be roasted first. Since I did not roast them first, it was very watery after using my new mill. It worked just fine; just resulted in too much water that I had to cook down for a long time. Since my husband insisted on "helping" me, I didn't really get a feel for it. I think he was putting too few tomatoes in there so they tended to get pushed around.
