A good simple scanner
If you are looking for something very basic to scan a few frequencies, this is a good scanner if you can get it for a good price. The highway alert feature is pretty useless with today's modern radio communications. In my area (suburb of NYC), it seems that all of the 400mhz frequencies are being affected by intermod, so the filtering is crap. I can listen to the 150mhz band without any issue. It would be a good scanner to monitor your local EMS or fire dispatch frequencies, or maybe Marine 16 or 22 if you are near the water but for the serious scanner listener, this doesn't cut it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A good weather band scanner !!
