Blocks unwanted calls - it REALLY works!!!
I purchased this call blocker because I was getting 5-10 scam calls EVERY DAY. For each call, I had to go online and "report" it to the call blocking service provided by my phone service provider. Since connecting this device to my phone (over a week ago), I have only had to block 15 numbers. At first, it worked really well. It allowed me to use #1 from my other phones. Now it will only work when I am in the same room with the call block button. Could be better, but could be much worse.
It functions as expected, but it's rather quiet. Fortunately, I happen to be resourceful enough to add a small amplifier with a volume control so as to make it louder. Note that it will only, and always, announce exactly what is in the Caller ID identification field, it won't add anything. For example, you can't teach it to say "Superior Mother" or "BirthGiver" when your mom calls. The Call Blocking functionality is handy for cases wherein some individual is pestering you relentlessly.
