Does the job
Been using these factory oil filters with Motul fluid on my 2014 STI with a built engine for over two years. Everything has been great, and good piece of mind that the engine keeps running healthy. I personally change these EVERY oil change. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done

Too small
Make sure folks understand that these filters are teeny-tiny and probably too small for any oil change interval more than a couple thousand miles. Much smaller than than the ones you’ve been using for years. And no Subaru markings or part #’s on the filters.

Subie filter
A Subaru is a special vehicle. I only use a Subaru oil filter that has a seal made for a Subaru. I take my Subaru oil filter to get an oil change, if I'm not having it done @ a dealership. Best Subaru filter on the market.

Can’t beat getting all these OEM filters for the price, I only trust oe filters on my subarus so getting more for less I could never complain, makes oil changes easier having them all on hand and is cheaper than buying oil and a filter at your local store overall.

I would not consider any other oil filter for this vehicle. For the price, there is really no reason to anyway! It does take some time and effort to do an oil/filter change on these vehicles. But it’s all about the passion! :-)
