Best method to remove mice from anywhere you don't want them!

I purchased one of these last year and have been using it off and on. It seems the mouse issue we have in my garage, camper, and outdoor stored vehicles gets worse in the winter, when they come in searching for protection from the elements. I have placed the rat zapper in different locations and have had success in just about all of them. It seems to be a good strategy to move it from time to time to keep the mice guessing! It really is one of the cleanest and easiest ways to battle a mouse problem. I actually purchased this one as a gift for a family member who is also having a household mouse problem. Highly recommended! So far this fall/winter, the score is humans 29, mice 0. 😉

  • Top critical review

    Didn't work for me.

The Rodent Zapper was a joke. Rats didn't enter, or even touch the bait, in an area crawling with rats for the first three nights, in the same area where I had trapped several previously; forth night light started flashing any time the circuit was energized and would begin flashing immediately upon activating the on/off switch. I asked for and received a refund for the defective product. YMMV

  • Wife's Happy; Rats/Mice Are In Rat Heaven!

We have had a rat/mouse problem for a while in our front yard. I tried the big rat traps baited with peanut butter and nuts. Got only a couple after a long period in between. Learned that rats are pretty smart. They send the stupid ones in first. No more after those two. Didn't want to use poison bait as I didn't want to smell dead rat/mouse in my walls/etc. Also got an active puppy, and so the traditional rat trap was out too. Saw the Rat Zapper and decided to gamble and try it. Over just a five day period, one each evening, I've gotten three rats and two either mice or baby rats. I'm using plain old bird seed as bait. I'm using Duracell batteries and after four kills, they are still well charged. I think the reason why it works so well night after night is there is no blood involved that the next critter can smell and thus stay away. When the critter dies, it loses its fluid/poop to which I just carefully wipe out with a paper towel using a stick to push it around some. I believe that the next critter smells that their buddy was in there, but no blood, so it must be still good eating in there, and in they go for their electrifying snack. I just reset it with more bird seed, set it back in the same spot, and wait for the next one to stop in for their electrifying snack. :-) The one thing you cannot do is leave it out in the rain, otherwise it will probably short-circuit. I rarely do this, but this product gets 5 thumbs up from me, plus the wife is happy too.

  • User friendly and very effective

I loathe killing any creature, however, I moved into a home that has a large mouse population. I can hear them in the walls and have seen them scurry about during the nights. I cannot have cats here, due my four dogs here and! tons of traffic out there... I did consider live traps, but have read that they can find their way back to your/their home! And if not, now that we are freezing during the overnight, they would perish out there where I would drive them to. So yes, unfortunately I am now using this product and it does work great! It's humane in that they perish rapidly. So I ordered this, and got the first mouse during the overnight last night. So yes, this product is very effective, easy to set up and then activate. I felt sad for the mouse - but I am desperate to end this infestation. It is not healthy for my dogs and I, obviously. So yes, if you want a product that does the job - this is it!

  • It gets the job done!

NO mess, no squished rodents. Peanut butter is a good bait. It will last for some time. The batteries seem to last quite awhile if there are only a few kills. Just look for the red light and then dump the critter into the trash. Put mine down and within an hour during the day I got the first one. I bought my first one of these years ago and I wanted to add another. The original unit is still going strong.

  • It is the ONLY thing that works for chipmunks and mice

Works every time. All I do is put a small handful of bird seed in it and chipmunks walk right in and are gone in a flash. I always replace batteries after every kill otherwise they don't have enough juice to kill they get shocked and escape. I also put mine in a plastic case with a lid with a hole I cut out with a hole saw then it CAN be left outside in the rain. They seem to be attracted to it even more as it seems like a safe place to eat. I get these plastic boxes at Walmart in the plastic bin section it's called box A and fits the zapper perfectly. No drawbacks I can see they will last several years. I have been using this product for @5 years and I have caught hundreds of these things. No joke. The first year I had a spreadsheet and logged every kill. The first year I had 76! My yard and front porch where they used to dig is so much better now.! Stop wasting your money on poison pellets, glue and animal traps, shooting water down their holes, ammonia, bleach, coyote urine, ultrasonic chasers etc. I have tried them all and the rat zapper is the ONLY thing that has worked. I have caught some mice and voles also but chipmunks are the problem in my area! I still get a few here and there but I don't have tunnels and have them digging up everything in site anymore. Just a few here and there every couple weeks.

  • Very effective and humane

I've owned several of these over the years. Each has consistently worked very well euthanizing mice and small rats. And, as a medical professional with an understanding of the physiology involved, they are very humane; the effect instantaneous.

  • Rodent Cure

I bought My first Rat Zapper to control an over abundance of squirrels that were always digging in my plants. While the RZ is primarily used to deal with rats and mice, it is very effective in eliminating nuisance squirrels and chipmunks.

  • Fantastic Highly Recommed !

This is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread ! We’ve had trouble with chipmunks over- runnng the outside of our home ruining flower beds, digging holes everywhere, they were almost under foot when we walked out the door. These are rodents which could be carrying diseases. I tried a B.B. gun maybe could get one once in awhile, meantime they seemed to be multiplying like crazy. Mouse traps did not work mothballs did not work. Then I found the Rat Zapper, oh happy day ! This thing works like crazy, bait it walk away and bam ! I highly recommend. Sometimes a seed may get hung up and cause sparking use a plastic straw to dislodge and your good to go. Been using several weeks and have zapped at least 12-15, battery’s arestill good.
