Answering the above questions all depends on HOW you will use these shoe covers. So far as recommending these, they wear out very fast and for me the heel is gone in no time. We make some very high end eco friendly wood dye powders. Now in the manufacturing portion of this, even though we focus on small batch runs to insure high end quality, we literally dry the dyes on plastic sheets before putting them in to the oven for drying and packaging. Well, needless to say, the wood dyes will occasionally get onto the bottom of our shoes. The booties work great as a disposable cover to our shoes. However, I have changed from wearing heavy boots to a flat softer sole shoe, to get even longer use from the shoe booties.
