Polk TL3 Blackstone Series Hi Performance Satellite Speakers provide the kind of audio quality you would expect from much larger speakers. The full Blackstone TL series is comprised of a subwoofer and four satellite speakers and makes for an impressive home theater sound system. Thanks to innovative Polk technology and high-quality components, the TL Series performs well in most rooms. The TL3 Center Channel speaker is designed to complement the TL3 Satellite Speakers. These small, black speakers blend well in any room and provide optimum sound in a variety of environment, and the reputable Polk name ensures that you are getting high-quality parts and construction. Polk has put much careful consideration into the design of their TL3 Blackstone Series, the satellite speakers in particular. Much of the technology used in these compact speakers has been adapted from much larger setups. Experience deeper bass with Polk’s PowerPort technology, which minimizes distortion. The aerated polypropylene cone was designed to let you play sound loudly without any warping. Whether hung on a wall or placed on a shelf, the speakers’ steel and plastic molded enclosure prevents vibration and resonance. The 3/4-inch ring radiator tweeter is central to the detailed sound you get from the TL3s and had not previously been used in compact speakers. This tweeter is significant in helping the Blackstone system match the sound of much larger speakers. Complementing this is the Extended Linear Motion 1-3/4-inch voice coil driver, which moves smoothly in a small space to produce clear, detailed audio. Polk’s Time Lens technology is what allows the tweeter and the driver to align for a smooth frequency response and high-quality imaging. With this combination, you get clear and accurate sound. Optimum frequency response range for the TL3 satellite speaker is 90Hz-31kHz. The five-way, gold-plated binding posts on the back of the TL3 make for easy premium connectivity to your designated receiver. The TL3 satellite speakers are made in all black and have a sturdy mounting system on the back panel. Installation is quick and easy. Each speaker weighs 4.7 pounds and measures 16-3/4-inches wide by 4-1/4-inches high by 3-15/16 inches deep. Once hung and connected to a receiver, the speakers are ready to go. So far Pretty Great
I received this center speaker a couple weeks ago and put it into immediate use. The improvement from this model's smaller cousin was instantly noticeable. No more turning up the volume way up to hear dialogue; away went garbled language; and no m ore turning on captions to read along to follow movies. This unit is clear, strong but not bassy on lows or hollow sounding. And it integrates well with the other Polk and Sony speakers that comprise my system.
