Matchless value in spite of single weakness.
Is the sound quality good? It is good enough, but could be a bit louder. Is it well designed? It is very well designed except for one fatal flaw: the cord is so light weight that even with a reinforcing grommet, it fails from constant flexing at the grommet and is a sealed unit that cannot be repaired. Is it a good value? Yes. In spite of the short coming, it remains a good value. We have used this product and reordered it many times over the years. It has no equal in the market. Would have given 5 stars, but the cord is not very well made. This is the weakest part of the speaker. Would pay more for a better designed item, including a better cord and an adjustable volume control. The three-position volume control is on, on and off - no real adjustment. Great for Night Owl Radio Listening
Very nice pillow speaker. Has two treble settings for user preferred sound and an "off" button. Very comfortable to use under a pillow without discomfort to the side of your head/ear from the hard plastic body like some speakers I have owned. More than enough length (of the speaker wire) from the plug-in jack to the speaker itself. And the wire seems very sturdy to stand up to years of use. Too big and sound can be easily muffed.
The speaker is quite big and difficult to keep in place. If used under the pillow, the sound is inaudible unless you are directly on top of it. If used on top under the pillow case, it slides all over and can give you stiff neck.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
