Adam-12, Guidebook for Proper Policing
Grew up watching this with my dad who was a 30-year LEO. Not only was this used as training videos for academys nation-wide decades past, it was good TV. While not as instantly gratifying as TV today, it still is entertaining. In my opinion, the script writing was far superior to what is televised today. Actors truly earned their paychecks. One thing missing from modern television is true character development. Not only did we see Malloy and Reed's roles evolve, so did their relationship. The stories also improved over the series. Audio and video quality has been restored with such clarity, one may think it was filmed today. The picture is far superior to broadcast. I am thankful I've finally been able to complete this series to my collection. Adam-12 is probably the best if the traditional cop shows.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful and Factual Police Drama
Very entertaining! Officers Reed and Malloy respond to calls that are based on actual events. Lots of drama, but some humor in the mix as well. Martin Milner as Officer Pete Malloy and Kent McCord as Officer Jim Reed are always dependable and do their part to see that justice is served. Both are wonderful actors and well-suited for their parts. Sadly, Martin Milner recently passed away. This series will allow his memory to live on. This show deteriorated fast after the first two seasons. The first two seasons the stories were believable, but it got ridiculously surreal when the same cops were in a shootout every other week.
