I've used this product for the last few years, always had accurate readings and reliable results. I'm using 4 of them now to monitor a new house we bought, trying to understand why the humidity levels seem high (in Wisconsin causes window condensation}. I've used them in industrial applications to understand product drying, and monitoring shipping conditions for products. Sometimes hard to get them back.
I would recommend this for general monitoring of air temp and humidity
This is a good little recorder, works well and is easy to use. Cost more than others available but worth more than some others available. I had first bought a Mini USB Temperature Data Logger Recorder Tester Thermometer for PC Laptop P3Q9, Just over $29.00 had to send it back as the instructions that came with it were not understandable and I couldn't get it to work.
I have used eTemperature before and they are harder to setup + more expensive to run.
Replacement of the thermocron reader will cost ~$90-100 AUD each. However with Lascar all you have to do is replace the battery which will cost around $15-20 AUD and even with changing the battery 4 times to last for 8 years will still cheaper to operate.
