As a tripod that weighs only one pound and folds down to 11 inches in length, the Polaroid Tripod was designed for photographers on the go. This travel tripod has a maximum working height of 42 inches can support cameras and gear up to two pounds. This makes the tripod usable for point-and-shoot cameras, SLRs with small lenses, and compact camcorders. The legs on the Polaroid PLTRI41 are made up of seven sections and composed of stainless steel. They pull out to extend and lock into place with twist locks. On the ends of each leg are rubber feet, which keep the tripod from slipping when standing up on smooth surfaces. The head on the Polaroid PLTRI41 is a pan head that is permanently attached. The Polaroid Tripod head tilts to 90 degrees so photographers can orient the tripod for portrait or landscape shots. Attached to the pan head on the travel tripod is a multipurpose handle. It is the workhorse of the tripod and controls leveling, panning, and tilting.
