Good all-in-one desulfating solar charge controller
This was purchased to provide solar charging for a small sailboat with low electrical needs. The "house battery" (which is the only battery) is a deep cycle providing 100+ amp hours and the solar panel to keep it topped up is 40 watts. The boat has a depth gauge, navigation lights, a mask light, interior cabin lights, and a radio/CD player. I have used other Battery Minder products for keeping boat and car batteries desulfated, but they were all AC powered. This device handles up to 180 watts of solar power (some reviewers say 200 tops) and if it's like the other battery minders, it will significantly extend the life of the battery.
