Does the job well, nice design, well built
For starters, this tool for fret leveling has a nice, simple design and it's well built. It's lightweight which makes it easy to use, but still perfectly stiff for precision leveling. The beam is long enough that it covers most frets all at once, ensuring more uniform leveling compared to other tools I had considered before finding this one. Professional Grade, Quality Fret Leveling Sanding Beam
I recently leveled a new Mighty Mite Telecaster neck at my friend's shop with this tool and was impressed at how fast and precise it is. When I saw this same tool for sale at this price point, I had to order for myself. This sanding beam and an adhesive sanding strip set me back $63, vs $93 it would have cost to order from the popular luthier tool supplier. Unless you're going to be leveling at least 33 guitar fretboards, this is definitely the way to go.
