As with all modeller's a fetish develops... In my case the Olympos Airbrushes - I've collected a few[!] - I use are incredible for miniature work. However when the model gets a bit bigger the best finish seems to get harder to achieve - even with the larger nozzles and needles. The solution seems to be to use a bigger airbrush and that is where the Iwata LPH guns come into their own. The problem then become the paint cup for it is not always necessary to use a 100ml of paint, nor is it convenient to wave a large pot around when trying to see exactly where the paint is settling. Enter the smaller cup...
Now if only I could find an even smaller one for about 50cc of paint... Especially if it were a genuine AI pot - quality and value hard to beat - the flow and the cleaning are but two of their virtues.
