For the money, a great buy

I am a podcaster and I use these during the show. These headphones are high quality as far as this price range goes. I've had better in a professional studio, but If you want comfortable, lightweight, quality audio monitors, at a low price, these are a good choice.

The quality of this model tanked

The sound quality is much worse compared to the same model I bought at Walmart 6-7 years ago for $20. In fact, the sound is so different that it feels like you are listening to mono rather than stereo. The reason I was going after this particular set, because it's hard to find a pair of headphones with a longer 2m cord. I ended up taking the frail parts from the two of these pairs I purchased and used them to fix the ear pads and the head band on my old, better sounding MDR-V150. I wouldn't recommend buying them unless you don't care about the sound quality.

  • You get hat you pay for

Well first off, these aren't Sony, they're knockoffs. They look and feel really cheap. The audio isn't very good, so don't bother going to other sites and looking up reviews of Sony MDR V150, because this isn't it. This is the equivalent of those cheapie Coby headphones you buy on the corner for a fiver because you can't be bothered to buy a decent pair of headphones and in a rush to go home because your headphones just broke. If you're looking for Sony MDR-V150, DONT BUY THIS If you're looking for some studio entry headphones-DONT BUY THIS If you're looking for a good headphones with good audio quality-DONT BUY THIS If you just want a cheap headphone to just listen to some music and don't much care then buy this. But really you should just shop around for a better pair of headphones...I wish I had. On a positive note it came pretty fast.

  • Good product, good price.

I like these headphones for their, comfort, light weight and good fit. I have better sounding, much more expensive headphones but I use these at times when i'm not seeking perfection. They're great as a back up. Good lows and crisp highs. They have a superior quality cord not found on most headsets in this price range.

  • INEXPENIVE, YET GOOD QUALITY

These are an inexpensive set of fairly good quality Sony headphones. They work well with my Sony products and on my Behringer Xenyx audio mixer the volume control cannot be set at much more than 9 or 10:00 without becoming uncomfortably loud. I can wear them for hours comfortably during late-night college study sessions so as not to disturb my housemates' slumber. The ear cushions have shown no sign of deterioration, but as time goes on, we will have to watch that. I think these headphones would be ideal for a low-budget recording studio, as starter units.

  • Good bang for the Buck!

I don't know how the other reviewer make the claim that these aren't Sony brand, but knockoffs? They are listed on Son'y website as a current product. They sound good. Not super great, but certainly good. They are cheap, fairly comfortable, and if/when they break, I'll buy 1 or 2 more. Decent quality, disposable headphones. Exactly what they are advertised to be.

  • Good headphones, great price

Good, clean bass and sound. Will not get anything better for $15-$20. Wish Sony still had the xb40ex's but this model is good on its own. Great product!

  • Sony mdrzx770bn

Received on time , perfect condition I love it , very balanced , bass is tight and very satisfying, high and mid are amazing ..exactly what i need. The cushion is a bit annoying over my ear, NC is on by default so u have to switch it iff every time u turn the headphone in "in case u dint need it" Changing sound quality mood is a myst trick to rate sound quality right

  • Very poor sound quality

I have to keep adjusting it to get sound from it for iPhone or an Android phone. Does not seem to be a loose connection but I have to keep checking it when the person on the other end cannot hear me. May be I got the bad product for my order

  • Good sound

The sound and quality is amazing , I find they get a little warm on my ears when I wear them for a long time but it's worth it because the sound makes up for it :)
