Get about 2-3 years out of it.......
Forgot I purchased an AP, exactly this muffler too, from Amazon in 2013. After this one began splitting along the entire length of the seam and at the rear seams....I looked closely at it to see a name and there were some numbers, having no significance to a way to track the mfgr.. I thought it was a Walker. Anyway, I now have another one, just like the other one. This time I cleaned it up with degreaser and sprayed it up with 1000 degree heat paint with emphasis on the seams at the side and ends. More coats than I can recall, over and over.....I even shot at least 5 shots into the inside from both ends into the muffler. After a day of drying....installed it.... I ran it for 10 minutes then off for an hour repeating this for two days. The paint smell was gone and it had cured well. Only time will tell if it lasts longer than the other AP, same model. I do not believe Wisconsin's winters and road salt were to blame as much as the cheap steel and any coatings they may use.....you get what you pay for. My 2006 Trailblazer with 260,000 plus miles has it's original muffler. And it looks clean and sounds fine. I will contact a dealer/parts/service tech. to ask about mufflers for that reason alone, next time. Rick in WisconsinVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
