    ODYSSEA, Great Canister Filters.

    This is my second one, both run great. I think I will switch these out with the larger ones within the next year for more water volume. Overall these canisters are the best. Easy to open/close, clean. You can replace one or more of the sponge layers with Chemi-pure or Carbon if you choose. These deliver a decent amount of flow and aren't too noisy like some others. If there is one thing I don't like it's the tubing, I prefer standard type tubing, but this works. Definitely would recommend for 75 gal tank or smaller if using just this or great as secondary filters on larger tanks. I have sump/wet-dry plus 2 of these now on my 240gal...keeps things pristine. Buy it! You will like it.

    Canister filter

    The quality of the canister is excellent. Great water flow. Easy to setup and use. The hoses are a bit short but you can purchase more hose at your local hardware store. The plastic hose clamps I replaced with metal hose clamps for extra protection from the lines blowing off. The price is much better than other brands. Making it a perfect filter for anyone looking to either replace or upgrade their filter. Overall I give the cfs-700 a 10 out of 10 ratting.

    Easy setup, runs very quietly

    I've had this for a few weeks now, and I plan to add to this review in the next few months. Setup was easy, but I was a little disappointed that the directions were on the box and not in paper form. I do happen to keep boxes for things I buy but I like to have a copy on file. My only complaint about the product itself is that the suction cups are cheap and doesn't hold well with one. I have my input propped between a rock and the glass so it stays perfectly vertical. The other is tilted and if you're OCD like me, it will drive you nuts HA! The filter itself is working properly and I haven't had a problem with it. Like I said, I will be updating this again in a few months. I have a 30 gallon tank with 3 2-inch painted turtles and a few minnows, ghost shrimp and bottom feeders. I decided to take my gravel out and only have rock props and fake plants. As the turtles grow, I plan to expand the tank size which is why I bought this filter. The flow was so quick that it may or may not have accidentally sucked up a slower minnow right away.... Whoops.

    Had for 6 months

    Has been a great filter had one glitch where it didn't want to turn back on after cleaning it but finally did work again filter pads need changed every month or two they will smell really bad even with often cleaning which is a pain seeing you can't disconnect it and take to your sink also is messy get water movement and filtering

    Great Filter

    I had a problem with attaching the red hose connector to the canister itself, flooded my carpet a bit. Love it though, have it on one side of a 240g tank. Highly recommend this filter and plan on getting another.

    Best bang for your buck.

    This filter is awesome. I had a valve break on me while I was taking it off to clean the filter. I was pretty PO at first but then I searched for parts and bought two new valves for 10 bucks. All in all I really like this filter and for the most part other than the valve breaking because I'm super strong it has been good to me.
