Find the Input Select button!
This was supposed to be "refurbished", but I swear to you it is brand new. Not a single fingerprint or scratch, nothing wrong, no dead pixies, all cables, disk, everything was there and perfect. When I hooked it up, it would not get a video signal, and it kept showing me an onscreen display message about VGA input. I used a DisplayPort cable (included), and couldn't get it to work... after a few minutes of playing with it, I found a button just above the power button, 2nd one up, it's called button 6 in the instructions-- guess what it does? It allows you to CHOOSE your type of input... VGA, DVI, DP, or HDMI... the important thing here is that you must use that second button to SELECT your input type. Once I did that, and toggled thru to get to DP input, it worked perfect. I suspect that many people did not know this and returned perfectly good monitors, which had to be "refurbished", due to customers complaining that it didn't work with a certain type of cable. Just use that Input Select button to choose your cable connection type, and all will be well. Super sweet monitor. Box was extra wide for extra thick styrofoam, very sturdy, no damage, nice plastic carry handle. My first Asus monitor, very pleased. Screen and bezel are matte and nothing is shiny. Works - poorly packed
