  • Easy to install, toilet no longer runs!

Easy to put on. No need to turn off the water: I flushed the toilet and hooked a slightly flexible long plastic comb from front to back of the tank, under the narrow black plastic arm that raises and lowers as water comes in, to hold it up and stop water coming in. Or use a string from it to a towel bar or grab bar, anything to hold it up to keep water from coming in. Turn the spindle in the middle of the canister 1/4 turn to the left (counterclockwise) to release it; the canister will pop up. Turn the canister upside down, remove the old gasket and ease the new one in place. Look for the key sticking out of the bottom of the spindle, and the keyhole it fits into below. On each side of the canister there's a projection. Put the key in a straight line with the projections, then replace the canister with the projections in line with the keyhole. Wiggle the spindle a little to get the key back into the keyhole, you'll feel when it goes down. Then turn the spindle 1/4 turn to the right (clockwise) to lock it in place. Before removing whatever you used to keep the tank from filling, put the rubbery water hose firmly back into its hole in the top center of the spindle - if you forget you'll get squirted. (I did.) This is a ten minute job that saved me a $100 plumber's bill. I'm a woman and no spring chicken - if I can do it, I know you can!

  • Great Seal, Great value

I bought these because the OEM seals do not last well in my experience and are priced far beyond what their manufacturing cost should require. In fact the short seal life of the expensive OEM seals makes my otherwise desirable Kohler toilets a disappointment. These seals which are priced at little over half that of the OEM seals, are performing every bit as well as the OEMs. I am very pleased with my purchase.

  • Better than the Red ones

The previous version of this seal was of a different material, colored Red. It would only last 2-3 years before getting "sticky". This newer version seems to be lasting much longer.

  • Kohler Flush Valve Seal

This flush valve seal was a perfect fit for the original in my toilet. It claims to be an improved material. It is A Kohler brand so I expect it will provide good service. So far it works like it is supposed to work.

  • My answr above explains it all

I purchased this one as a backup in case the one I purchased prior fails. Its easy to purchase on line rather than hunting one down in Lowes or Home Depot.

  • good value

watched U tube and showed me how to do it myself, not bad at 75 years old and a widow.saved me some money and was so easy.

  • The price was great and delivery could not be better.

It is an upgrade form O.E.M. and will last much longer

  • Leaky

I don't know that color matters but it is advertised as red but arrived yellow. The old seal had separated from the valve so I ordered this new one. I installed it as directed but it is letting water seep by so the tank periodically has to "top off", wasting water.

  • Outstanding!!

In retail packaging just like at the big box stores but for half the price. Glad I purchased them.

  • Canister Only

This is not the replacement seal for the Kohler Cimarron with the flapper as some sites indicate. The replacement seal for the Kohler Cimarron with flapper is Kohler Part Number 1097686. Do not order if you have the flush valve with the flapper!!!! Rated unsatisfactory for my use, but the item is an original Kohler replacement part.
