so far, so good
I am a bit worried about the number of people that have problems with cracking, but so far (a couple of weeks) all is well. However, I expect the cracks developed months down the road. it was properly sanded and looks like first run product. I love having a heavy, large cutting board like this. Should Last a Lifetime
We bought ours used, but it was in near-new condition. It has been very helpful in all sorts of food preparation and baking, and in making our small kitchen more efficient. Maintenance is easy. Solid, and a Lifetime Cutting Board
This board is a beast, heavy and sturdy. It's a little bigger than what I needed but was able to get it at a great price so I went for it. It weights over 20 lbs. and handling it is a bit of a chore when it come to cleaning and treating it. But overall, it could be a lifetime board if taken care of. It came well packaged from the factory and that's a good thing because FedEx beat the hell out of the box with dents, holes, and dirt all over it. But the block inside was fine thanks to great packaging design from the manufacturer. I just ordered the Boos oil and cream to condition it. This is an exceptional product. High-quality and extremely durable. It’s extremely expensive and the postage was truly expensive. Very nice product
I purchased this to put very hot items on, and believe me nothing is going through it. Unlike bamboo it does stain for instance meat blood. I did not buy it to cut on just for hot items like a roast straight out of the oven. Also it must be treated with oil, I guess that stops staining. Overall a great item.
