    I bought two of the 8gb dimms for my 6-y...

    I bought two of the 8gb dimms for my 6-year old computer- it has 2 slots but had only one 8 gb dimm. I read it's best to have same-speed chips and these are faster than my old one so I put in two and removed the old one. Very easy to do and are working great.

    in the beginning, this one didn't work well with the one my pc used, it kept flashing web browser. and then I swaped the two sticks position, problem solved. they are both the same Samsung modoule from the lable's printing, but different manufacturing date. and this one's circuit board physically a bit thicker than the one in the PC before.
