Needed a freezer lock
Looked for a freezer with a built in lock but could not find a good deal. Found a 7.2 cf freezer from Target online for a great price but it did not have a lock. I bought this lock and gave it a shot. I was truly impressed with the design of the lock. It seems to be built well and strong. If you are trying to keep kids out of the freezer etc, this is perfect. It is easy to assemble. Of course, it won't stop someone that wants in bad enough but for every other purpose, it's perfect.

Better than Expected
I didn't know what to think when I ordered this item, but turned out to be much better than expected. The parts are pretty heavy duty. Two important notes: 1. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and make a couple of "dry runs" positioning the glue patches so the the eyelets are in the exact position you want them. You only get one shot at applying the glue patches onto the freezer. Make sure you have it right the first time. 2. Before you put the glue pads on, use the little scotch bright pads to scuff up the surface very well. I wiped up the dust with acetone after scuffing. I'm sure someone could probably dislodge the glue pads with maybe a long crowbar, but otherwise they look like they will stay secured to your freezer for a very long time.
