Best of the cheapest
When you buy a cheap power supply, you get what you pay for. But in this case, neither of the ones I ordered have malfunctioned. This isn't a power supply you buy to use forever, or even one you buy for your main machine. Rather, it would make for a good test bench power supply, or in my case a diy egpu power supply. I did use one in an older pc to test initially, with a very high draw set of components, and it held up fairly well under extended load. I wouldn't do that to it every day, but it's good to know that it's not terrible quality. The outer shell is fairly thin, the cables are kind of cheap, and the connectors were a little hard to fit at first, but like I said at first; when you buy a cheap power supply, you get what you pay for. *Edit* One year from date of original review, both power supplies are still fully functional. Decent for price, poor packaging, no power switch
First, it came in poor packaging. The box used was not large enough and split open. Luckily it wasn't damaged. I neglected to notice it doesn't have a power switch. That's my bad for not seeing that in the pics, but it was unexpected for me and I would have preferred one with a switch. So far it's working fine. I have doubts about the true power capability - this '600W' supply is less than half the weight of other 350W supplies I have. I haven't really pushed it to it's limit yet to see how that pans out. Overall, it seems decent for its price.
