    I actually did not try this diet yet but my friend just loves it. He lost now 50 pounds the past 1-2 years he has been on it and dropped a lot of her medications, he is in wonderful health.

    Did It Work For Me

    She didn't take older people into consideration. Not everyone can do the strenuous exercise or rigid diet. I imagine that she uses these reasons for a person not losing 20 pounds in 28 days. So sad. I tried, but blood pressure went off the chart!

    When I received the FMD book, I read it immediately. I have to admit that in the beginning, I was quite overwhelmed at meal preparation. However, I was pleased to find that it got easier as the weeks passed. I am now on week four, and I'm not overwhelmed anymore, in fact, I look forward to making new recipes and preparing my favorites. I have lost 11+ lbs. so far, and couldn't be more pleased.

    This non-diet DIET is very difficult to follow unless you can pay for a personal chef or have time to track down recommended foods. I also purchased the APP which I though would help but there are very few recipes so in order to create your own and add them to the food list on the app, you are spending more time doing that than cooking or eating. I went back to using an out of print but very effective plan called the Doctor's Clinic 30 which has worked for me when I was in my 30's 40's and now 50's. It is a lifestyle change so I have to go back to using it when I go back to old habits, but it works. I took the Fast Metabolism princiles of using organics and eating more frequently and better quality starches and it actuallly sped up the weight loss on the other program. In summary, don't give up even if you don't like this book. Your heath is worth it!

    I lost 3 lbs/week on this diet and had to repeat it to get where I wanted to be but it definitely works. On the other hand it requires odd foods that taker getting used to and organic foods. Those two combined can be very expensive and.

    I have really enjoyed the book. I love the concept of never counting calories again, and working to fix the problem and heal the metabolism. It took me 5 weeks to lose the 20 lbs, but they did come off. I have ordered three other copies to share with friends and family members. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to make some permanent changes to get healthy. Also, there are some really great recipes.

  • Have never eaten so healthy before

    You have to REALLY organize yourself by copying pages out of the book to help you flow thru what to eat during each of the phases - 3 phases in one week. Eat off of a list for Phase 1 which is Mon and Tues, Phase 2 is Wed and Thurs and final Phase is 3 which is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not too hard if you have the copied list of foods and portions next to your refrigerator to see each time to eat (5 times a day). You also have to grocery shop at least 3 times a week to keep up with the fresh vegetables and fruits needed. If you are a natural cook - you can play around with the food choices and ways of cooking with onions, garlic, spices, combinations of proteins with fruits or veggies and just love this way of eating. My husband lost 7 pounds the first week of each lots of food and I, not having much to lose lost 3. The goal is to speed up your metabolism that we have ALL ruined thru dieting. This way, when we go back to eating (healthy) but off the phases, we will be able to process food better and not gain so much weight back. Just remember not to go hog wild after your 28 days are up. I love this diet or rather "healthy plan of eating".

  • Finally a diet that I can follow and not feel deprived!

    I think I've tried every diet imaginable and always felt so deprived. Always gained the weight back and always continue to need to diet again. This food program has you eating 5 times a day, drinking tons of water and still losing weight. I've been on it for nearly 5 weeks and have lost 19#. It is very specific about what you can eat on certain days of the week and I would have lost even more, had I followed it to the letter. I plan to continue to eat this way until I lose the 30# that haunt me and then see how it goes. It's a new way of thinking about food and I surely needed that! Hopefully my metabolism is resetting and it will help me to burn off what I put in. So far, so good. I highly recommend this book and the cookbook as well.
