Works great with my Smart TV. I would've given it 5 stars, but you have to press a shift function key to use the directional menu controls, and the shift function only stays on for a few seconds. There are better remotes. Needs to be redesigned.
Pro: Most buttons are easy to access and press. The backlight button glows in the dark. Comfortable to hold. Cons: The main buttons UDLR are WAY TOO SMALL and are hard to press. The IR directional view is WAY TOO NARROW, You MUST point this remote DIRECTLY at the TV or it does not work. Absolutely ridiculous when a coffee mug on a coffee table blocks the IR signal. Backlight is very dim. It's usable but just very dim. Summary: Eh Not very happy with it but it is better than the remote that came with the TV. If they fix the main 2 issues, it will be a very good remote. But with the small and hard to press UDLR buttons , I say find something else.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

great remote a bit hard to program
This remote does exactly what it says it will do and is very ergonomic, fits well in the hand, buttons are easy to see, in the right place to reach for easily, and uses AAA x 2. The feel is quality, firm plastic good buttons and lettering. The LED flashes every time you press a button so you know its doing something. For my TV, BR, DVD, cable box, its perfect for doing the basic things like channel, volume, and not setting configurations. Great to use this as a banger remote, and leave the OEM with all the advance functions in storage, they are very hard to replace. The problem is the instructions are very small print, and very terse. All the codes are listed to see, and you can get them off the internet to check if this will work with your gadget. I found the easiest way to program this is: PRESS AND HOLD CODE SEARCH until LED lights LED STAYS LIT PRESS either one: TV, DVD, VCR etc.,, LED winks, and stays lit TYPE IN CODE On last digit of code, LED goes off, if not HIT ENTER To program without code entry do this: Turn YOUR DEVICE ON PRESS AND HOLD CODE SEARCH until LED lights LED STAYS LIT PRESS either one for the on device: TV, DVD, VCR etc.,, LED winks, and stays lit POINT REMOTE TO DEVICE PRESS OFF BUTTON repeatedly until DEVICE TURNS OFF [ this can take a while or not work if the remote can't work with your device!] HIT ENTER within 4 seconds, or it will bomb, so repeat from the top It works with all my gadgets, and I bought 4 of these on sale for $4 each and just for fun tried both methods to program the thing, it worked.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Small basic design
