The ASRock N68C-GS FX is a socket AM3+ motherboard designed to support AMD eight-core processors. However, this ASRock motherboard provides users with a degree of versatility, supporting CPUs with AM3 or AM3+ sockets. In addition, the ASRock motherboard allows for DDR2 and DDR3 types of SDRAM up to 8 GB total. Along with a 1000 MHz HyperTransport front-side bus, the ASRock N68C-GS FX delivers a variety of performance-enhancing features. Four expansion slots are available on this socket AM3+ motherboard for use in customizing a system build, including two PCI slots, a PCI Express x1 slot and a PCI Express x16 slot. A number of different ports available on the ASRock motherboard provide the user with flexibility in its use, including PS/2 connections for a mouse and keyboard, USB ports, and a D-Sub connection. Integrated high-definition audio and a NVIDIA video chipset allow the ASRock motherboard to function without requiring external cards.
