I had my gall bladder removed some 30 years ago. A couple of months ago I came across an article that explained what your gall bladder does and why you need it. It stores up excess bile so that your body has it available when you eat. It's released to help your intestines brake down foods in the intestines. For years I had problems with very loose stool and always wondered why, even when I didn't eat greasy foods. I started taking this a couple of weeks ago and have noticed an improvement in my bowel moving. I started taking one with each meal and now only take one with breakfast and one with dinner. I'm an large male, however if you are a women you may want to try the 250mg's rather then the 500mgs sense they seem to be fairly strong. Without bile you body can not properly digest foods and you may be missing out on a lot of the protein and fats that you need to be consuming in your foods. I've read complaints made by reviewers that the product is much too strong. They say they buy 400 mg supplements. I never buy more than 125 and take more or less as needed.
