A massive performer in a small package describes the MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 AMD motherboard best. A microATX form factor and the sizable graphics and processing power show what this board can produce. Built around an FM2 CPU socket, MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboards support a range of processors powerful enough to support MSI’s Dual Graphics Technology, SuperSpeed data-transfer ports, and Realtek audio. It also supports OC Genie II, an instant performance enhancer that overclocks the processor, increases storage device speed and boosts 3D gaming performance in under one second. The MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard uses an AMD A75 core logic chipset, which differs from Intel chipsets in that it integrates the northbridge chip functions, the memory controller, and the graphics processor into the CPU die. The Fusion Control Hub (FCH) or southbridge, chip supports six USB 2.0 ports, two SuperSpeed 3.0 ports, and up to six SATA3 ports, and it has two USB 2.0 headers and one SuperSpeed USB 3.0 header. The A75 chipset also supports one VGA port, one legacy PS2 port, six audio outputs for 7.1-channel surround sound, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one DVI-D output and one HDMI graphics output. Note that only the red USB support-charger ports in the front of the board function when the computer is powered down. Designed for AMD processors that fit the FM2 socket, the FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard provides several performance options to customize your gaming experience. Compatible AMD processors include the A4 series, A6 series, A8 series, A10 series, Athlon X2 series and Athlon X4 series. The motherboard supports up to 16GB of DDR3 memory at 1066 MHz, 1333 MHz, 1600 MHz, 1866 MHz, and, when overclocked, the 2133 MHz AMD SuperCharger directs more amperage to designated USB ports so you can charge Apple devices, including the iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone. You have to download the free SuperCharger utility from the MSI website. MSI Cool’n’Quiet technology minimizes CPU heat and fan noise using independent dynamic core technology, multi-point thermal controls, dual dynamic power management, and wideband frequency control. MSI Winki 3, a Linux-based operating system that provides instant access to a Web browser and gamer-centric IM and VoIP platforms without booting up, is ideal for hardcore enthusiasts who use their rigs for little more than gaming. Other MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard hardware features include all solid-state capacitors, Microsoft DirectX 11, Radeon Dual graphics, which allows you to run two graphics processing units (GPU) and displays simultaneously, one Realtek ALC887 sound card, and USB Safeguard, which prevents USB-connected devices from damage caused by electrostatic discharge and short circuits. The MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 motherboard includes one 24-pin ATX power connector, one 4-pin ATX 12 V power-supply connector, one CPU Fan socket and one chassis-intrusion detector connector. The board comes bundled with one system fan, one front panel, and one audio panel.
