Saved a very expensive plumbing job.
This adapter saved me a lot of money on plumbing replacement and wall surgery. The shower head was installed over 60 years ago and the pipe in the wall was not going to budge. I was able to get the shower head off, but that fitting on the end of the pipe did not fit any modern plumbing threads and it was a female fitting. My shower head was so old that it just had the name “Standard” stamped on it, so it predated the better known “American Standard “ company we know today. This adapter worked perfectly. I am very pleased with it.

My old nob shower stem is no longer supported by new shower heads on the market.
