I love this product. After 2 quick microwave minutes and immediate removal from the bag, these yummy, crispy treats keep audibly crackling in your bowl, like really loud Rice Crispies for grownups who enjoy pork products. Most of the pork rinds puff up, only a very few remain unpuffed after microwaving. Even as they're still crackling, they're plenty cool enough to eat, and the eating experience is great. If you like the mouth feel of other pork rinds, you'll love the additional sensation when they're still crackling. To me, they're a wee bit on the salty side, but only just. Not Hot Enough
While in Ackerman, Mississippi years ago, I purchased microwave pork rinds at Wal-Mart. I remember those pork rinds were hot. The pork rinds from Lowrey's are not nearly as hot. I don't think they had any hot seasoning at all. I gave them to a niece who does not like hot and spicy foods. We had a pack of these at our corner bar and they were awesome. Ordered 18 online as it was a great value. Made 2 of them and they were very hard to judge when they were done in the microwave. Lots of too hard to chew pieces the first time and very very salty. Tried making them again at less time and still horrible.
