Fine, but hard to install

Good tight fit
It did not easily slip into the groove. It had a hump (excess size) that was difficult to get into the groove. This is possibly the way it was designed so it would not want to come out on its own. The groove in the lid was slightly corroded and had to be scraped to allow the new ring to fit in. Like New Again
The tricky part was removing the old crusty gasket ring from the lid and cleaning the groove. After that, the installation instructions are easy to follow. It took a minute to evenly distribute the new gasket ring around the groove of the lid but it finally all went in. The package also contains a new automatic air vent with rubber seal. Great necessity for a pressure cooker but fairly hard to install. It is actually too large and the two times I have replaced it, I have had to cut a small portion of the gasket out and match the ends in the lid groove. Works fine, lasts several years.
