Great quality and water proof rubber cover on the outlet, after installed the port looks so much better than the factory block heater cord hanging out of my grille on my duramax... you can mount it on any flat surface, can run an extension cord and mount it anywhere on your truck... I purchased a 6x12 enclosed trailer for work and also purchased a generator to have power anywhere I go. This connector was very easy to install drilled a 2 inch hole slid the plug in and ran the cords on the other side. Looks like it came from the factory this way. It looks nice cause just plug a cord into side of trailer and gives me power inside the trailer instead of having extension cords running through the door it just hooks to the trailer. Easy power input.
This thing makes it really easy to get power into an enclosed trailer while keeping the weather out. Just make sure when you use a holesaw on the aluminum skin of your trailer, you put a 2x4 or piece of wood on the other side to keep from tearing the aluminum and having a shitty hole. But yeah, pop one of these in the trailer, Hook up a power strip and you're good to go. One other thing you may want to do is put a hook on the outside of the trailer to hang your extension cord on so the weight isn't all hanging on the plug.. Excellent quality and super easy install. Drill a hole push through screw in place. Then plug in your existing hanging plug. No wiring needed. Looks like a factory installed option in my bumper.
