Food is amazing
The food comes out cooked to perfection. We have tried shrimp, salmon, corn with the husk, chicken breast, both with and without skin and all have been moist, juicy with an amazing flavor from the wood pellets (we tried the Traeger blend first and highly recommend). I was initially intimidated by the instructions, but now its just plug it in, turn it to smoke, wait till it lights and then turn to the temperature you want. It holds the temp within +- 5 degrees.
I assembled it myself with the screwdriver included. Piece of cake.
The single down-side is that I haven't been able to get a good char like cooking on an open flame. Small detail to give up for the quality of the food produced.
Also, the smell when it is cooking is divine. No greasy, petroleum smell from charcoal, just that lovely wood-fire smell.
