    Great tool and you can add to the handle length.

    I have used this to dig a well- I tried 3 times and hit big flat and unremovable rocks at 6' or so. I will keep trying. I have also used this for fence hole super easy and no sock to the body when you hit rocks. Nice tool and you can dig super deep if you don't hit unremovale rocks.

    great design, not-so-great quality

    Disappointing quality in what used to be an American-made product. Now I notice the fine print on their web site reads "Assembled in USA" -- which I suspect means they paired an American Ash wood handle with a Chinese-made auger assembly. T-junction weld at top of post pipe is out of square, and wood handle was turned so sloppily that it would not fit in center of that sleeve, even after considerable planing and sanding. US mfrs used to proudly brand their goods and there is no name anywhere on this thing; either Seymour is taking the low-road with lousy quality control or this thing is a cheap import posing as the real thing. Too bad; this type of auger works great under most conditions, they are very efficient at digging and clearing the hole. Price from this seller is very competitive, but it's unclear whether this is a legit Seymour tool.

    lightweight, excellent quality!

    Purchased one of these and used it to dig four (04) wells. One 30 feet deep, one 25 feet deep, one 15 feet deep, one 21 feet deep. The handle screws into the auger head using 3/4" pipe thread. You can purchase additional pipe to did as deep as needed. It works very nicely. Easy to use.
