  • Good product and fit it

The product fit in my Ford Escape 2010 rear door lock. Many years of work for those types of parts is enough. Thank you, recomended.

  • REAL PROBLEM SOLVER

If you will delve in to the details you can, for $8 parts solve a problem that requires a $300+ dealer part and requires about the same labor. You just have to dissemble the actuator module and install the motor to fix the door lock problem on your 2001 Suburban with barn doors. Here's how: Slip up the top part of the door cover and unsnap. Pull out the bottom part to expose the door interior. Pull off the plastic dust shield. Cable A runs from the door handle to the lock mechanism, and cable B runs from the locking mechanism to the door latch. A control arm connects the key lock to the lock mechanism. The actuator module contains the motor that responds to the electric lock/unlock commands. The door can be locked by the key or electrically. Key sets the mechanism to lock or unlock. Actuator module set the mechanism to lock or unlock. In unlock, cable A is connected directly to cable B and releases the latch. In lock, cable B is disconnected from cable A, so the handle does not actuate the latch. For repair, remove the three bolts with 10mm heads that hold the mechanism in place. Disconnect the control arm from the lock. Pull out the mechanism and remove the one screw to detach the actuator module. Remove the cover and replace the motor. Put it all back together and be pleased.

  • Perfect replacement motor for 2010 Escape Rear Liftgate Release

Found a recommendation on a forum to replace this motor rather than the whole latch. Based on price this was a great option so I thought I would give it a try. The only struggle is getting the brass gear off of the old motor but once that was done this was a very simple repair. Put it all back together and it works like a charm.

  • Central locking motor

Great little motor. Despatched very promptly. Polarity not specified which would have been useful but still an operable unit

  • Works great!

This item was as expected and saved me quite a bit of $$ compared to the Ford Latch unit. The gear slid on easily. I did notice that the shaft on this motor is slightly shorter than the original factory. While this was a not a showstopper the shaft did not sit all the way in the slot on the opposite end which I guess can result in movement over time if you don't seal the case all the way. Some folded electric tape on the inside of the case on top of the motor will do it. All together, for $5 ... totally worth it!

  • Great motor

Repaired the rear door latch on a Ford Escape with this motor and it works perfectly. Cost me $11 total for this part and less than 1 hour to fix it (googled instructions how online). The dealer wanted $500 for the repair. Thank you eBay!

  • Perfect Fix

Perfect fix for a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country that had a non-functioning door lock actuator. Just take everything apart, pop in the new motor, and put everything back together. Cheaper than a full replacement actuator!
